Jacob Azzopardi

Jake grew up in the East Kimberley in Balgo Hills (Wirrimanu) and has

always been fascinated by the connections that people offer through friendship

and thought.

To him, movement training and acroyoga offer a challenge and the ability to

develop trust and thoughtful exchanges.

Jake also works for RAC as a Regional Engagement Coordinator, which allows

him to interact with a number of communities with diverse challenges and

experiences. He is passionate about regional Western Australia and specifically

the people and communities within it. Whilst working with RAC he has also been

seconded with Jawun and worked with Aboriginal organisations such as Ngnowar

Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation in Wyndham. This and other experiences have

allowed him to gain further insights and connections with people in the Kimberley. Jake is also studying Community Development at Murdoch University to gain a better understanading of the role that communities can play to enhance the lives of the people living within them.

Jake’s time growing up in the Kimberley provided him with a solid foundation to tailor experiences for participants within the workshops. He fosters an environment that provides meaningful interactions which unlock confidence and skills that participants will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
